The Experience
Enjoy a half a day Stradbroke Island kayak tour, paddle across the tranquil waters of the Gold Coast whilst keeping an eye out for dolphins, turtles and stingray’s. If you are looking for an experience that is packed with fun and adventure then this is the kayak tour for you.
Begin the day with a kayak tour paddling around Wavebreak Island on the Gold Coast. Then snorkel right off the beach surrounded by hundreds of sub-tropical fish. Our tours are conducted on the beautiful Broadwater on the Gold Coast. The water where we conduct our tours is protected by surrounding islands, with mild sub-tropical temperatures and around 10 to 15 meters visibility.
With just a short paddle to South Stradbroke Island and a short stroll you reach one of the best surf beaches in the world. While you are there try and spot the swamp faced wallaby only found on South Stradbroke Island.
On this kayak tour you get to visit two of our secluded islands where to get to enjoy a relaxing and delicious continental breakfast on the beach. A whole lot of wonderful activities packed into one experience.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What if I have never kayaked before? A. You will get comprehensive instructions on how to use the kayaks and snorkelling equipment. Most of our customers are first timers, so having no experience is no problem.
Q. Can you fall out of the kayaks easily? A. The kayaks we use are Aqua II’s, which are very stable and safe sit on top kayaks you can get. The Aqua II is designed with the beginner in mind, so falling out of these kayaks is very hard.
Q. What if I can’t swim? A. Everyone on our tour must be wearing a lifejacket. If you don’t know how to swim, please notify the tour guide and wear your life jacket at all times (even during snorkelling).
Q. Do you guarantee to see dolphins? A. The dolphins we see are wild dolphins and we do not disturb them in their natural environment. We see them approx 80% of the time. To see them is the luck of being in the right place at the right time.
Q. What’s the snorkelling like? A. We see an abundance of sub-tropical fish in all different shapes, colours and sizes such as Butterfly fish, Angel fish, Damsel fish, Butter Brim, Sergeant Beagle Major’s, Moray Eels, Puffer fish etc
Q. What’s the air & water temperature like in winter? A. The Gold Coast has a sub-tropical climate which means perfect conditions all year round. Winter air temperature is approximately 23 – 24 degrees and winter water temperature is approximately 19 degrees. We provide wetsuits during winter for your added comfort.
Q. Can kids come on the tours? A. We can take children 5 years and older.
Q. What fitness level is required? A. Our tours are designed for any fitness level.
Q. Do you go out on weekends? A. We run our tours every day of the week (excluding Christmas Day and New Years Day).
Q. Do you supply all the equipment? A. Yes. We supply all the equipment. All you need to bring is: • Swimmers • Sunglasses • Footwear that can get wet (eg. Thongs, sandals) • Hat • Towel • Sun block • Bottle of water
Q. What kind of Marine life do we see? A. The marine life on the Gold Coast is abundant. We see Bottlenose Dolphins at least 80% of the time and it’s not uncommon for them to come up within a couple of metres away from you in the kayaks or even when you are snorkelling. We also see turtles, stingrays, sea eagles and from June to Nov there is a good chance of seeing whales close by.
Q. What time do half day tours start? A. If you are wanting to be picked up from Surfers or Broad beach tours would start at 7am. If you had your own transport you would need to be at meeting point at 7.30am.
Q. How many people go kayaking at one time? A. 12 – 15 people .
