Deep Water Fishing Trip - Sydney, NSW
The Experience
The ultimate deep water fishing experience! This Sydney fishing charter will put you against Blue eye cod, Gemfish & Hapuka to name a few as you attempt to tackle the challenges of fishing at a depth of 500 metres.
After teaming up with a friend or someone else on board (as two people are required to operate each reel due to the water depth and weight of sinkers required) let out your line and prepare for some serious fishing action.
Equipment used are purpose built Alvey winches loaded with
275 lb breaking strength braid on board our 16m ocean going catamaran.

A. The most common types of fish are Blue Eye Cod, Gemfish, Hapuka, Bar Cod and Ocean Perch.
Q. When are the trips held?
A. Once a month. Generally the Fishing Trip is held on the last Saturday of every month.
Q. What is supplied on the day?
A. Includes all fishing gear , bait & morning tea ,nibbles.
Q. What should I bring?
A. Lunch and drinks.
Q. What fishing equipment is used?
A. Equipment used are purpose built Alvey winches loaded with 200 lb breaking strength braid. Because of the water depth (up to 500 metres) and weight of sinkers required , two persons are required to operate each reel on a team basis.
Q. How big is the boat?
A. Tours take place on board the ocean going power catamaran 16 m long x 6m beam. Max of 14 people on board & cruising speed 15 knots.
