60 seconds of freefall over Nagambie, is the classic adrenalin rush of tandem skydiving. Skydiving is a great way to see Nagambie from the air....
Live the most exhilarating experience of your life: skydiving - the highest, fastest, most spectacular adventure sport of them all! There's nothing like the thrill of skydiving and a tandem skydive is the easiest way of experiencing the thrill and excitement of freefall at over 200kmh with some of Australia’s most experienced tandem instructors. This is the perfect gift for friends or family. Or, of course, yourself!
After a fifteen minute briefing by a highly experienced Tandem Instructor, you'll be strapped into a parachute built for two – and away you go! The experience starts with a short but stunning flight to fourteen thousand feet - that’s 4.5kms straight up! - in Victoria’s largest jump plane. Your tandem master launches you into freefall at 14,000 ft where you’ll experience a full minute of mad freefall and travel at speeds in excess of 200kph. After your parachute opens, the perfect counterpoint – a silent glide on the wind providing the perfect contrast to the rush of freefall with a five to eight minute parachute ride over some of Australia’s most beautiful rolling countryside, lakes and wineries, landing gently back at the dropzone to be cheered by your friends.
Nagambie is a fantastic and beautiful place to skydive. Collectively the skydiving team has been awarded over forty five Australian Championship Gold Medals. And being nestled on the northern side of the Great Dividing Range affords a natural shield against the elements too, so the weather conditions are generally much better than on the coast. And the largest plane in Vic means that you can jump with all your friends at the same time too.
There's nothing better than sharing the experience with your mates! Want to prove to your mates that you’ve done it? We can provide the highest quality photographic packages, the DVD’s are professionally edited to an 8 or 9 minute production of you (and only you!) with no advertising material and mixed to natural sound and great sound tracks! DVD’s are produced on the day and you’ll usually get them within an hour of your jump, otherwise we’ll post them out to you. The still photos are of the highest quality, taken with professional cameras and provide a minimum of 8 megpixels shots – perfect for enlarging!

Q. What are the physical requirements? A. You need to be a generally healthy human being with an average fitness level. Our weight limits for either an AFF Body Flight jump or a Tandem jump is 100kgs. If you are close to these weight limits, then feel free to call us for more information. Also if you have any medical queries, please call, as we can usually safely remedy any concerns you might have. Q. Can my family and friends watch? A. The more the merrier we say! We have viewing areas from which your family and friends can watch the day’s action safely. You will take off from the airstrip and land back in our grassed landing area, your family can even see you exit the aircraft 14,000ft up! Please note that children must be supervised at all times. Pets are not permitted on the drop zone. Q. What should I wear? A. Comfortable casual clothes, shorts in summer and jeans or tracksuit pants in winter. We will provide you with a pair of skydiving pants or a jumpsuit to wear over your clothes. You may also want to bring a long sleeve t-shirt or sweatshirt. Closed in shoes are a must, sneakers or runners that lace up firmly are preferable (no hooks). Q. How much time should I allow for my skydive? A. You should allow approximately 4 hours. br /> Q. Can my friends and I all go up in the same plane? A. That all depends on how many friends you have doing their skydive, and which aircraft we are using on the day of your booking. Our PAC XL can take up to four tandems with dedicated video and photos. If you have a larger group, then it is not a problem, we will group you as you wish and you can watch each other take off and land safely in our grassed landing area. Q. Is skydiving safe? A.Safety always comes first, fun comes in a close second. Our instructors are APF accredited and highly experienced; our equipment is maintained to higher than recommended standards and all our crew abide by our stringent safety regulations.Skydiving is an extreme sport, and like any extreme sport there is a certain amount of risk involved. All incidents, as small as they may seem are reported to the Australian Parachute Federation. Last years statistics stated that 1 in 10,000 skydives resulted in accident or injury. Compared with the statistics for registered cars in reported accidents in Victoria being 9.8% the most dangerous part of your day is going to be driving to the drop zone! Q. Is it normal to nervous? A. Yes, it is absolutely normal to feel nervous. Jumping out of a perfectly good airplane is not something that normal people do every day. You are about to freefall towards Earth at speeds in excess of 220 kph from over 4.5 kilometres up, if your adrenaline isn’t pumping, then I think we had better check for a pulse! You will arrive nervous and maybe even a little scared, but by the time you leave you will be feeling ten foot tall and bullet proof! Q. What happens if I am afraid of heights? A. Believe it or not, a good percentage of skydivers and pilots are afraid of heights. From 14,000 ft up you will not experience vertigo like you would climbing a ladder or standing on top of a building. Q. What does freefall feel like? A. It is the closest a human can get to flying and no words could do it justice! When you enter freefall you are accelerated by gravity so you will not experience the stomach lurches associated with roller coasters. Freefall is something that has to be experienced to be believed, it is definitely the fifth element. Q. How hard is the landing? A. As a tandem student you will be instructed to lift your legs up in front of you so your tandem instructor can touch the ground first. If you don’t land on your feet, you will glide in on your bottom and the landing impact is just like stepping off of a chair or a step. Q. How fast will I be going in freefall? A. The terminal velocity (maximum fall rate) of a single person in freefall is approximately 120 mph or 230 kph. A tandem will fall faster than this but is slowed down to regular terminal velocity by the release of a small stabilising parachute called a drogue. Q. Does it hurt when the parachute opens? A. You will feel a slight jolt as the canopy opens, but as long you put all your important parts out of the way when your tandem instructor is gearing up you will be fine.
